Come on, give me a smile….

come on give me a smile

From my past, a year ago. (And probably other times in my life, too. How many of you can think of people who’ve said something similar? Seriously, enough with the passive-aggressive demands! We’re not puppets.) Note: this is NOT directed at photographers (looking at you, Ted, darling!), for whom it is absolutely reasonable to be expected to smile. 🙂

  1. 😯 Someone actually said that to you? Did he live to tell about it?

There is nothing better than a smile from someone when you have done something nice… no other reward is necessary. Or maybe you just got together and they are glad to see you.

    • LOL! Yeah, it was a guy I dated last summer, for about 4 months. I didn’t even remember that he used to say that, until I read a magazine article which highlighted the phrase, and I was like, “Whoa!” It always made me feel weird when he said it. (It was a clue which I should’ve combined with about a hundred other pieces, but – you know – “dating blinders.”)

Agreed – a spontaneous, real smile is its own, magnificent reward. 🙂
